Add Gravatar to your user profile – WP Tip #004

WordPress supports Gravatar (globally recognized avatar) icons which are used to identify you whenever you post a new blogpost or comment. This will help your readers identify with you because they'll recognize your avatar each time you write. It also works in many other apps besides WordPress.

Additionally, your Gravatar may be shown next to your author box when you set that up. Many other websites support Gravatar so it's a double-tip! Not only does this help your WordPress website feel more personable, but it also saves you the time of uploading a new profile picture when you join other sites.

Head over to http://Gravatar.com, register with the same email address you use in your user profile in WordPress. Add a picture to your new Gravatar account, and after a couple of minutes, your avatar in WordPress will show that new image! You can add multiple email addresses and multiple images.
