Lake Havasu’s Police adopts Google Apps

What a success story! The Police Department at Lake Havasu has now moved to Google Apps, and they even made a video about it.

Joe Fiumara, the Operations Captain for the LHPD tells in the video that they had many challenges with calendaring and email access on the go with their previous systems.

Primarily, the LHPD wanted to fix the mobility issue. Officers would check email only before or after their shifts, making it very difficult to communicate critical information quickly.

Google apps allows us to direct more funds towards training & other resources.

  • Mobility, access to email, calendar and documents on the go.
  • Increased collaboration
  • Saves on printing.
  • Fixed cost savings and expenses
  • Fisma certified
  • Highly secure

The takeaway? Google Apps makes it easy to keep in touch with a mobile workforce. Cloud hosting is the best solution for most small businesses. Hosting your own servers in your building doesn't equate to good network security. Google Apps is secure, reliable, robust and many times it complies with government and industry regulations.
