I built this website for Sam Carter. The website is based of the complete website plan in addition to about thirty hours of customization. Currently the website is in a monthly maintenance plan which provides Sam with WordPress support, changes and modifications as well as customization services.

This website is built on WordPress, and amongst other things, it features the following:

• Custom header.
• Easy to navigate structure
• Shopping cart
• Custom navigation menu
• Custom Social Media icons
• Facebook Like integration
• Twitter share integration
• Integration with Feedburner for RSS and Email subscription. Mailchimp or other services available.
• FrontPage slideshow features select paintings and blogposts
• Search box and a sitemap help visitors find anything they’re looking for
• Secondary feature section showcasing six or nine select posts or paintings
• Custom design and layout based on freely available WordPress templates

This website is running the ever capable and freely available Suffusion theme. In addition to this theme, we have a number of plugins and custom code to make the website work the way it was intended. The front page features a slideshow where the featured paintings can be displayed. When you click on the image for a given featured post, you’ll be taken to an entry about that featured image.

Following the slideshow featured section, we have a six spot static section showcasing some of Sam’s latest works and this section is closed by the listing of 10 more additional entries to Sam’s blog. All three sections on the front page are easily customizable and can be changed at anytime using the WordPress control panel and the options in Suffusion.

In order to make the website truly unique, we brought in custom graphics and a layout for different pages. The custom banner was born out of technical and artistic collaboration between Oscar and Sam Carter. Other graphical elements exclusive to this site include the Social Media Icons, the navigation bar and background. The custom maintenance plan provides Sam with extensive support to make even more customizations to the website template, webstore, or website design.

Samcarterart.com also provides visitors with the ability to purchase the art pieces directly on the website by using eCommerce and a checkout cart. The website accepts all major credit cards and Paypal, but other options are available to expand the number of payment gateways available. Additional options include Authorize.net, Google Checkout, Chronopay, Paypal Payments pro, and many more.
